I’ve gathered seven international open calls, residencies, prizes, and competitions that stand out for the quality of their programs and the support they offer to artists. A great opportunity to step out of the studio and open up new perspectives.

The “Contemporary Talents” competition by the Fondation François Schneider - Apply by November 23, 2025 - Wattwiller, France
The François Schneider Foundation, committed to contemporary art around the theme of water, organizes the “Talents Contemporains” competition. It aims to support emerging mid-career artists by acquiring their works and presenting them in its art center.
International Sculpture Biennial - Apply by November 30, 2025 - Resistencia, Chaco, Argentina
The Chaco International Sculpture Biennale 2026 is an international sculpture event that will take place in Resistencia, Chaco province, Argentina. The event will run from July 17 to 26, 2026.

Discovery Award 2026, Louis Roederer Foundation - Apply by December 1, 2025 - Les rencontres de la photographie Arles, France

Mudhouse Residency Fellowship Award - Apply by January 1, 2026 - Crete, Greece
The Mudhouse Residency is an international artist residency program located in the village of Agios Ioannis, on the island of Crete, Greece. It offers two-week summer sessions, welcoming artists from all disciplines (visual arts, writing, music, performance, etc.). Artists live in a rich natural and historical context, fostering creation, exchange, and immersion.

Center for Contemporary Printmaking Residency - Apply by January 1, 2026 - Connecticut, USA
The Center for Contemporary Printmaking (CCP) offers a solo residency program at the “Helen Frankenthaler Printmaking Cottage,” allowing an artist to fully dedicate themselves to creating a body of work in printmaking techniques, in a well-equipped studio with on-site accommodation. The program aims to encourage experimentation, artistic development, and access to new media in printmaking.

Gasworks - Apply by January 12, 2026 (Palestinian artists only) - London, UK
Gasworks, a contemporary art center in London, offers an 11-week fully funded residency program in 2026, specifically for Palestinian artists or artists of Palestinian origin. The residency will take place from July 7 to September 21, 2026, in London. The program supports professional development, cultural exchange, and artistic experimentation. Residencies are self-directed, non-prescriptive, and process-focused.

Luxembourg Art Prize - Apply by March 31 - Luxembourg
The Luxembourg Art Prize is an annual international award organized by the private museum The Pinacothèque in Luxembourg. It aims to reveal and promote artists who are still relatively unknown on the international contemporary art scene. The total prize money for the 2025 edition is €35,000: €20,000 for first prize, €10,000 for second prize, and €5,000 for third prize.
